Reports suggest that the chances of US President Donald Trump attending the ceremony are very low. The United States is expected to be represented by Vice President J.D. Vance. From the Iranian side, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf are expected to attend the signing ceremony, although no final confirmation has been made yet.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to depart for Geneva on Thursday, accompanied by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other federal ministers, will also join the delegation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has also stated that a new round of talks between Iran and the United States will begin on Friday in Switzerland. However, he warned that the war cannot be considered fully over unless Israeli forces withdraw from Lebanese territories occupied during the conflict.

He expressed hope that the implementation of the agreement will bring stability to the region, but stressed that all parties must fulfill their responsibilities and avoid any actions that could undermine the peace process.

The agreement was first announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who said that Washington and Tehran had agreed to a permanent end to military operations across all fronts, including Lebanon.

Shortly after, US President Donald Trump confirmed the development on social media, stating that an agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran had been finalized.

Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani welcomed the development, thanking Pakistan and all regional and international actors who contributed to creating a conducive environment for the understanding.

Although both sides have confirmed key elements of the deal, several important details remain unclear, particularly regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the long-term implementation framework.

It is also noted that US Vice President J.D. Vance previously stated that both the United States and Iran had digitally signed a memorandum of understanding, with signatures from himself and President Trump on the US side and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the Iranian side.
