Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said the negotiations were futile and humiliating for Lebanon, adding that the group would neither disarm nor abandon its resistance against Israel.

The proposed agreement calls for the withdrawal of Hezbollah fighters from areas between the Israeli border and the Litani River and the establishment of security zones under the control of the Lebanese Armed Forces.

US President Donald Trump said progress was being made after talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hezbollah representatives, expressing hope for lasting peace in Lebanon.

However, Hezbollah insisted that a ceasefire cannot succeed while Israeli military operations continue. Residents in Beirut s Hezbollah stronghold of Dahieh also voiced skepticism, describing the deal as a one-sided surrender.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said military operations in southern Lebanon would continue to dismantle what he called terrorist infrastructure.

Lebanese media reported multiple Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, killing at least 13 people and injuring several others.

A UN peacekeeper and an Israeli army officer were also reported killed in separate incidents.

According to Lebanon s Health Ministry, more than 3,526 people have been killed since the conflict escalated, while the United Nations says over one million people have been displaced.
