According to insiders who spoke to Heat World, Harry is keen on reconciling with King Charles but is concerned that Meghan’s plans to enter the UK jam market could complicate matters, as it would place her in competition with the monarch.
Sources said that for Harry, the idea of a “jam war” is the last thing he needs at a time when he is trying to repair relations with his family. Meghan’s reported plans to grow her business into the UK market are seen by him as direct competition with King Charles’ Highgrove brand, which already offers its own range of preserves.
An insider claimed that Harry wishes Meghan would reassess the situation realistically, as he does not believe the jam venture will become the major success she anticipates. He is also said to question why it needs to be such a central element of her brand when there are other potentially more profitable opportunities available.
However, the source maintained that Meghan is convinced this is the right moment to significantly scale up her business. She is not considering a limited launch but is instead planning a broad international expansion.
The insider added that Meghan sees strong financial potential overseas, particularly in Europe and Asia. She has reportedly been preparing for this stage for some time, which explains the large amount of stock already produced, and is ready to move forward.
A close confidant further revealed that Harry has cautioned Meghan that directly competing with his father on his home ground could create negative optics, especially given the sensitive stage of his efforts to rebuild family ties.
