The International Cricket Council released the latest rankings on Wednesday, confirming Ayub’s rise following strong performances in the recent tri-series.
Ayub first claimed the No.1 spot in early October but was pushed to second place after Raza’s explosive thirty three-ball century, one of the fastest in men’s T20I cricket.
However, Ayub’s match-winning display in the tri-series final, where Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets, helped him reclaim the top ranking.
Roston Chase of the West Indies is placed third in the T20I all-rounder list. India’s Varun Chakravarthy continues to lead the T20I bowler rankings.
Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed made notable progress, climbing four spots to reach fourth among T20I bowlers. Mohammad Nawaz also moved up two places to eleventh.
Nawaz rose three spots to secure fourth place in the all-rounder rankings as well, following his impressive Player of the Tournament performance.
Ayub, who is twenty three years old, improved in the T20I batter rankings too, rising two places to thirty fifth.
Among bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi stayed at eighteenth, Sufyan Maqeem slipped to twenty second, and Salman Mirza climbed to thirty fourth.
In the T20I batter list, India’s Abhishek Sharma remains No.1. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan dropped to sixth, while Babar Azam moved down to thirtieth.
In ODIs, Babar Azam continues at sixth among batters. Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf kept their positions inside the top twenty five ODI bowlers.
In Test rankings, Nauman Ali retained his third position among bowlers, while Sajid Shakil climbed to eleventh in the Test batters list.
