The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected the proposal of Bangladesh to host a T20I tri-nation series, which was due to be hosted in December, and that would also have included Sri Lanka, according to an announcement made by Geo News on Wednesday.
The decision by the PCB, according to the sources, was due to the issue related to workload on the players, since a number of their top players, such as Shaheen Shah Afridi and Babar Azam will already be occupied with the Big Bash League in Australia at the same time.
The 15th edition will take place between December 14, 2025 and January 25, 2026 and will be hosted by 44 matches. The competition will commence with a match between the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Sixers in Perth Stadium and this is the first match Babar Azam will play in the Sixers.
Some Pakistani cricketers will feature in the league: Mohammad Rizwan will be playing in the Melbourne Renaegades, Haris Rauf in the Melbourne stars, Shadab Khan in the Sydney Thunder, Hasan Ali in the Adelaide Strikers and Hassan Khan in the renegade.
In the meantime, Pakistan will continue with their own T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, which are scheduled to be held between November 17 and 29.

• Nov 17- Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
• November 19 Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
• Nov 22 -Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Gaddafi stadium, Lahore.
• November 23rd- Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, Gaddafi stadium, Lahore.
Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe December 5, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
• Nov 27 -Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Gaddafi stadium, Lahore.
