The inaugural ceremony was attended by Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, members of the executive committee, and a large number of business and sports personalities.
More than 150 teams from across the country are participating in the tournament, while a large number of spectators are also enjoying the matches during the four-day event, creating an exciting atmosphere at the sports complex.
Speaking at the event, LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal said that attracting the youth towards positive activities is the need of the hour. Sports not only help in building a healthy society but also highlight the talents of the youth.
He said that such sports events are encouraging for both the business community and the youth and the paddle tournament will provide an opportunity for new talent to come forward.
Punjab Sports Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar appreciated this effort of the Lahore Chamber and said that the provincial government is providing maximum sports facilities to the youth.
He said that paddle sports are becoming increasingly popular and such events will play an important role in promoting this sport. It is the need of the hour to bring the young generation towards positive activities so that they stay away from negative activities.
At the end of the event, the participants paid tribute to the administration for the successful organization of the event. The tournament will continue at the Paddle Inn Arena till May 17.
