Pakistan did not get off to an ideal start as Sahibzada Farhan (5), Saim Ayub (23), and Babar Azam (2) were dismissed cheaply. However, the solid partnership between Salman Ali Agha and Usman Khan helped Pakistan recover and reach a strong total.

Chasing a target of 199 runs, the Australian batting lineup collapsed under pressure from the Pakistani bowlers and was bowled out for 108 runs in the 16th over. Mitchell Marsh scored 18, Travis Head managed 4, and Josh Inglis was dismissed for 5 runs.
