The Belarusian star enjoyed a dominant 2025 campaign, successfully defending her US Open title and reaching nine tournament finals during the season.
Sabalenka finished runner-up at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, while also reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon. The 27-year-old recorded 63 match wins and claimed four titles over the year.
By ending the season as world number one for the second straight year, Sabalenka also set a new WTA single-season prize money record, earning $15,008,519.
Elsewhere in the awards, Amanda Anisimova was voted Most Improved Player after winning her first two WTA 1000 titles in Beijing and Doha and qualifying for the WTA Finals for the first time, finishing the season ranked fourth.
Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend were named Doubles Team of the Year, while Belinda Bencic received the Comeback Player of the Year award.
Teenager Victoria Mboko of Canada was named Newcomer of the Season after rising to world number 18 at just 19 years of age.
