Google has unveiled the schedule for its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2026, one of the company’s largest events of the year, where it is expected to present new artificial intelligence advancements, product upgrades and upcoming releases.

Google I/O 2026 will be held on May 19 and May 20, 2026, at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Registration is now open for those who want to receive updates about the event via email.

The conference will feature keynote addresses by Google executives, along with fireside chats, live product demonstrations and technical sessions aimed at developers.

Although Google has not confirmed specific announcements, speculation suggests the event will heavily focus on AI, including updates to Google Gemini AI and Android, as well as the unveiling of additional products.

At Google I/O 2025, the company introduced major updates that are now available to users, including Gemini Live for app integration, improvements to Deep Research and new AI models such as Imagen 4 and Veo 3. It also presented Android XR, highlighting its work on agentic AI tools capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

To build anticipation, Google has added interactive mini games to the I/O website, allowing users to explore Gemini-powered tools while counting down to the event.
