A2 began its journey on 10 November from the scenic Jinji Lake in Jiangsu province and concluded its remarkable trek on 13 November, reaching Shanghai’s iconic Bund. The journey covered a mix of city roads, expressways, bridges, slopes, and urban pathways, all navigated with unwavering stability.

According to the company, A2 achieved this feat through its hot swappable battery system, which allowed it to continue walking without a single pause.

Agibot’s Senior Vice President, Wang Chuang, described the achievement as a living testament to durability, balance, and technological maturity. He noted that even many people would struggle to walk continuously across two provinces, yet A2 completed the task with steady composure.

Standing 5.74 feet tall and weighing 55 kilograms, the robot is equipped with advanced AI powered sensing features capable of analyzing text, audio, and visual inputs. It can even perform delicate tasks like threading a needle, demonstrating a blend of precision and adaptability.

Throughout its journey, A2 strictly adhered to traffic rules, showcasing not only engineering brilliance but also the potential for future urban mobility systems.

After walking more than 100 kilometers nonstop, the robot reached its destination in perfect condition, reinforcing confidence in the long term reliability of autonomous machines.

Its navigation relied on dual GPS modules and LiDAR sensors, enabling it to maintain accurate positioning across varying terrains.

A2’s record breaking walk marks a significant milestone in the evolving landscape of humanoid robotics, hinting at a future where machines may share paths and perhaps even responsibilities with humans.
