In a phone interview with Fox News, Trump said, “We will hit them very hard, and they will suffer a major loss,” reiterating his administration s hardline stance toward Iran.

The US president also claimed that overnight strikes targeting Iran-backed armed groups in Iraq were carried out in coordination with Saudi Arabia.

Trump further said that US forces intercepted and destroyed Iranian missiles allegedly aimed at Jordan within minutes.

Despite the heightened tensions, Trump said diplomatic talks with Iran would continue.

He described Iran-backed militias as “a cancer for the world,” accusing them of destabilizing the region.

According to Trump, the military operation against the militias in Iraq was conducted after communication with the Iraqi government.

The latest remarks come amid renewed regional tensions and ongoing US-Iran diplomatic engagement, with Washington maintaining pressure on Tehran while signaling that negotiations remain on the table.
