The group said they would block several main roads, including Al Asif Square, Main Super Highway, Star Gate, Shahra-e-Faisal, Five Star Chowrangi, Tower, and Numaish Chowrangi.
On Monday morning, protests turned violent at 4-K Chowrangi. Police fired tear gas and arrested at least five protesters.
Because of the situation, schools, colleges, and universities allowed students and staff to leave early.
Authorities have asked citizens to use alternative routes and stay away from protest areas, warning that the situation could get worse.
