According to security sources, troops engaged multiple suspected militant hideouts during the operations. Intense exchanges of fire were reported in several locations, resulting in the deaths of 17 individuals described by authorities as militants.

Officials said weapons, ammunition, explosives, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered during the raids. The individuals were said to have been involved in previous militant activities in the region.

Security forces stated that follow-up sanitisation operations are ongoing to clear remaining threats and ensure stability in the affected areas.

Authorities added that the broader counterterrorism campaign under the national framework “Azm-e-Istehkam” continues across the country as part of ongoing efforts to address militancy and improve security conditions.
