The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, and senior officials from both countries. The two delegations held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, regional developments, and issues of mutual interest.
Welcoming the Croatian delegation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Croatia enjoy friendly relations based on mutual respect, trust, and goodwill. He emphasized the need to capitalize on existing opportunities to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan is pursuing a policy of economic diplomacy and seeks to enhance collaboration with Croatia in trade, investment, information technology, agriculture, tourism, transportation, connectivity, and skilled human resources.
He noted that there is significant potential to increase bilateral trade and stressed the importance of strengthening private-sector partnerships to create new business and investment opportunities. He also highlighted that regular exchanges of trade delegations and joint business initiatives would further boost economic ties.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, while extending an invitation for both leaders to undertake official visits to Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments, global issues, and other matters of shared interest, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality, Croatian Foreign Minister Dr. Gordan Grlić Radman said he was pleased to visit Pakistan and expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen relations between the two countries.
He praised Pakistan s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, noting that Croatia values Pakistan s contributions to regional security in recent years.
The Croatian Foreign Minister also reaffirmed his country s interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in trade, investment, economic development, information technology, energy, education, tourism, and other sectors. He emphasized that both countries have significant untapped potential for partnership and pledged Croatia s continued support for advancing joint initiatives and strengthening diplomatic and economic relations.
