According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister s Office, PM Shehbaz held a series of meetings with senior executives of Türkiye s top business groups and industry organisations to discuss expanding economic cooperation and investment.

The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties and attracting greater Turkish investment in key sectors of the economy.

He highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye and stressed the need to transform the strong political relationship into a robust economic and investment partnership.

PM Shehbaz encouraged Turkish companies to invest in priority sectors, including energy, mining and minerals, infrastructure, maritime and logistics, information technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, agriculture and privatisation.

He said the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) provides one-window facilitation and institutional support to strategic investors.

Turkish business leaders appreciated Pakistan s economic reforms, improving investment climate and investor-friendly policies. They expressed confidence in Pakistan s economic outlook and reaffirmed their interest in expanding investments and developing long-term partnerships.

Separately, the chief executive officer of Turkcell met the prime minister to discuss cooperation in the digital and technology sectors.

During the meeting, PM Shehbaz shared the government s vision of establishing a Pakistan-Türkiye Digital Corridor to enhance regional digital connectivity, facilitate secure cross-border data flows and strengthen digital infrastructure.

The prime minister invited Turkcell to explore long-term collaboration in areas including 5G deployment, network optimisation, spectrum management, digital infrastructure and technology transfer.

He also encouraged partnerships in the local manufacturing of telecommunications equipment, software development, digital skills training and capacity building.

The Turkish executive welcomed Pakistan s digital transformation agenda and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in telecommunications, digital infrastructure and emerging technologies, reaffirming the company s commitment to developing mutually beneficial partnerships with Pakistan.
