According to Pakistan s Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Bahrain s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The two leaders discussed the regional situation following the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote peace, and matters of bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, both foreign ministers reviewed the regional security environment and agreed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only sustainable path to resolving conflicts and ensuring lasting peace.

Dr. Al Zayani congratulated Pakistan on the Islamabad MoU and commended the country s constructive role in advancing regional peace. He expressed confidence that the recent diplomatic developments would pave the way for greater regional stability and cooperation.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said the Bahraini foreign minister also appreciated Pakistan s leadership for its peace initiatives and announced his intention to visit Pakistan soon. During the visit, he is expected to meet the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and the Chief of Defence Forces.

Dr. Al Zayani said he also intends to personally thank Pakistan s leadership for its efforts in facilitating the ceasefire and promoting peace in the region.

Expressing gratitude for the goodwill conveyed by his Bahraini counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan s commitment to pursuing diplomacy as the preferred path for promoting peace, stability, and cooperation at both the regional and global levels.

He added that Pakistan would continue to strengthen constructive relations with all countries and play its role in advancing regional peace, noting that the latest diplomatic engagement reflects the strong and growing ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
