According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the rescue operation was launched after the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre received a distress call from the vessel.
The Pakistan Navy immediately diverted PNS HUNAIN along with the required aerial assets to the area to carry out the rescue mission.
The ISPR said all 20 crew members were safely recovered from the distressed vessel due to the professionalism and swift response of the rescue teams.
The rescued crew members are being provided with the necessary medical care.
The military s media wing said the successful operation reflects the Pakistan Navy and PMSA s commitment to ensuring the safety of life at sea and their readiness to respond to maritime emergencies at all times.
