The development comes after an interim peace agreement between Iran and the United States was signed in Switzerland, with Pakistan and Qatar acting as mediators, paving the way for renewed diplomatic engagement and technical-level talks.
In a post on X, Dar said arrangements were being finalised in coordination with Iranian diplomatic missions in Pakistan to ensure the crew s safe and early return home.
He said Pakistan remained in close contact with both US and Iranian authorities throughout the process, which helped ensure the safe arrival of the crew members in Karachi.
According to Dar, the latest group is the fourth batch of Iranian nationals whose repatriation has been facilitated by Pakistan over the past two months.
He said Pakistan has now assisted in the return of more than 70 Iranian nationals, including the latest group of 22 sailors.
Dar thanked the Iranian leadership for its trust in Pakistan and praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant institutions for ensuring the smooth repatriation process.
Iran s state news agency IRNA reported that the crew members had been handed over to Iranian diplomats in Karachi and were expected to return to Iran in the coming days.
The Iranian Consulate General in Karachi also confirmed the arrival of the 22 sailors and said they would soon depart for their homeland.
Earlier this month, Dar announced that Pakistan was facilitating the repatriation of 30 Iranian nationals, including eight fishermen rescued at sea by the British vessel MMA Valour after their boat ran aground, along with the 22 crew members of the Lenore/Davina.
