In his statement, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that over the past year, two major developments have strengthened Pakistan’s reputation, dignity, and international standing. He noted that during tensions with India, Pakistan demonstrated its defensive capabilities, while in recent diplomatic progress, it also played a responsible and constructive role that drew global attention.

The Defence Minister said these achievements were the result of wise leadership and coordinated efforts by Pakistan’s political and military leadership. He added that difficult challenges, which once seemed nearly impossible to resolve, were handled through effective strategy and careful decision-making.

He praised the services of Pakistan’s armed forces, military leadership, Field Marshal, the Prime Minister, and the government’s relevant teams, saying that the nation should be grateful to those who worked to protect national interests and uphold the country’s dignity.

Khawaja Asif further stated that despite ongoing challenges, Pakistan’s institutions have proven their ability to safeguard sovereignty, security, and national interests. He described recent developments as the outcome of national unity, strong leadership, and effective planning.

Referring to India, he said Pakistan has consistently demonstrated its defensive strength and protected its national interests at all levels. He also claimed that Pakistan has achieved success even against a much larger rival and has proven its capabilities to the world.

On international diplomatic developments, he said Pakistan’s role is being acknowledged in recent global progress, even if some parties do not openly admit it. However, he added that the international community is aware of Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts.

He expressed hope that Pakistan will continue to play a positive role in promoting peace, stability, and diplomacy in the region while further strengthening its global image.
