Following his arrival, Naqvi held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Momeni at Iran’s Interior Ministry.
Iranian media did not disclose details of the discussions, while the Islamic Republic News Agency reported that Naqvi is also expected to meet other senior Iranian officials during the visit.
The trip comes as Pakistan continues mediation efforts between Iran and the United States aimed at reaching a broader agreement to end the ongoing conflict.
During his previous visit to Tehran earlier this month, Naqvi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Momeni.
Regional tensions have remained elevated since the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28, prompting retaliatory attacks by Tehran against Israel and Gulf-based US allies, as well as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
A ceasefire brokered through Pakistani mediation took effect on April 8, but negotiations held in Islamabad failed to secure a permanent agreement. Later, Donald Trump extended the truce indefinitely while continuing restrictions on vessels linked to Iranian ports through the strategic waterway.
