Speaking at a press conference at the Timergara Press Club, representatives of the students, Idrees Khan and Fayaz Yousafzai, said the students were enrolled in various medical universities across Afghanistan.
They said the students crossed into Pakistan through the Torkham border crossing and safely reached their hometowns.

According to the representatives, the students return was made possible through the efforts of Pakistan s Consul General in Jalalabad, Shafqat Ullah, and Afghanistan s Ministry of Interior, which issued the necessary travel permissions.
They said the latest repatriation followed an earlier operation in which 68 Pakistani students returned through the Torkham border on July 11, 2026, with the assistance of the Pakistani Consulate in Jalalabad and Afghan authorities.
The representatives expressed gratitude to Pakistan s Consul General, the Consulate General in Jalalabad, Afghanistan s Ministry of Interior and other relevant authorities for facilitating the students safe return.
They said the coordinated efforts by Pakistani and Afghan officials ensured the smooth and orderly repatriation of the stranded students.
According to the student representatives, more than 1,000 Pakistani students are currently enrolled in medical colleges across Afghanistan, and many of them also wish to return home during the vacation period.
