There are men whose ages are advancing, and women whose hair has begun to turn gray while waiting.
According to one estimate, three out of every four young people in Pakistan are unmarried — a worrying situation. In 2024, Gallup released a survey report stating that 23% of young men and women were found to be unmarried.
That survey, however, was limited. According to a report by the South Asia Index, more than 10 million women aged 35 or above in Pakistan are unmarried.
