Athletes from various districts of Punjab participated in events including the 100 meter race, wheelchair race, badminton, high jump, and tug of war. Participants appreciated the government’s step, noting that it was their first experience competing in a major stadium under arrangements similar to mainstream sporting events, which they described as a moment of pride and encouragement.

While welcoming the initiative, several athletes highlighted gaps in facilities, training opportunities, and sports equipment, stating that these challenges continue to limit their full potential.

Wheelchair race participants stressed the need for a structured selection system to enable special athletes to represent Pakistan internationally.
