In a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, Lion Pharma clarified that these talks are early stage and exploratory in nature.
The company stressed that the purpose of the discussions is to assess the practicality and overall value of a potential transaction, not to confirm any final deal.
According to the notice, both sides are currently weighing whether the proposed acquisition makes strategic and commercial sense.
Lion Pharma emphasized that no decision has been made so far, and the process remains subject to detailed due diligence, regulatory approvals, and further evaluation.
The company also made it clear that this communication should not be taken as a binding commitment or a confirmed agreement. Management underlined that the matter is still under consideration and may or may not move forward.
Hover Pharma, based in Lahore, is engaged in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical and healthcare products. Lion Pharma Limited, meanwhile, was incorporated in October 1991 as a private limited company and later converted into a public limited company in April 1992.
Like Hover Pharma, Lion Pharma operates in the pharmaceutical sector, producing medicines and related products.
Market observers note that while the development signals growth ambition, investors should remain cautious, as such early discussions do not always lead to finalized transactions.
For now, the move reflects Lion Pharma’s intent to explore expansion opportunities while keeping shareholders informed at every step.
