Reporting for Pakistan Matters, correspondent Fahad Ali Khan reveals that the episode, according to details obtained by Pakistan Matters, the sequence of events began quietly in mid December 2025. Waseem told the correspondent that on December 18, he received a brief ‘Hi’ message from an unfamiliar number. Curious about the sender’s identity, he responded, only to be informed that the message was sent by a woman who introduced herself as Ayesha.

What began as an apparently harmless exchange soon evolved into frequent and regular communication. Waseem stated that the conversations, initially casual in nature, steadily increased in intensity and frequency, marking the beginning of a situation that would later take an alarming turn.

Waseem claimed that on December 23, the woman visited his shop along with a young man who, according to her, was staying in a nearby village. He alleged that she tried to gain his trust, took items from the shop without paying, and asked him to drop her at a neighboring village, which he did.


Soon after, the original phone number went silent. However, within a few days, Waseem said he was contacted again from a new number and asked to meet. He alleged that during a meeting at Rahat Park, the woman demanded Rs 2,000 and suggested going to a room, while unknown individuals appeared to be watching from a distance. He claimed money was taken from him under pressure.

Waseem further alleged that the demands did not stop there. He said the woman repeatedly insisted on meeting at her house, sent voice messages asking about his availability, demanded video calls before meetings, and even asked him to buy sandals before visiting. He also claimed that she regularly asked for money and sent her pictures as part of the pressure tactics.

According to Waseem, on December 31, 2025, another meeting took place, which he described as consensual, after which he was again asked to pay Rs 2,000. Soon after, he alleged that the tone changed completely.

He claimed he was threatened and told that the woman’s cousin had seen them and that a medical examination and legal action would follow. He said the woman advised him to contact a lawyer, which made him fear he was being cornered.

The situation escalated further when Waseem said he received a call from a local reporter of a private TV channel, who claimed a story had been filed against him and asked for his version. Waseem stated that he clearly told the reporter that he was being targeted by a honey trap gang and was under blackmail.


Later, a local mediator allegedly became involved. Waseem claimed that through this intermediary, a demand of Rs 300,000 was made, which was later reduced to Rs 200,000.

He further alleged that the reporter shared an application, supposedly addressed to the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, in which the complainant’s name appeared as Farzana Bibi, raising serious questions about the consistency of the case. The application alleged that Waseem assaulted the woman at his shop on January 1, 2026, at 6 p.m.

Waseem strongly denied the allegation, calling it baseless and fabricated. He said his shop had been closed since December 23 due to financial problems, a fact that, according to him, is known to the entire market and local panchayat. He added that even the shop keys are in the custody of the panchayat.


On the other hand, the local reporter rejected Waseem’s accusations, saying no money was demanded and that the news was published on the basis of available evidence. However, local sources pointed out contradictions in the report, especially the claim that the incident took place at a shop that was closed on the stated date and time.

Efforts by Pakistan Matters correspondent Fahad Ali Khan to obtain the woman’s version revealed that she maintains her allegation of sexual assault against Waseem.

Calling the entire episode a ‘well planned trap,’ Waseem has appealed to senior authorities for an impartial investigation. He insists that only a transparent inquiry can separate truth from falsehood and prevent innocent citizens from being dragged into fear, shame, and financial ruin.

The case has sparked concern in the area, highlighting how quickly trust can turn into trouble and how easily lives can be shaken when allegations, pressure, and power collide.
