Sources cited in the report say the couple has kept their relationship largely private, spending time between O’Reilly’s residence in Switzerland and Goldsmith’s home in West London. Friends of the couple describe them as “very happy together,” noting their shared interest in media, storytelling, and documentary work.
According to the Daily Mail, the two first met through professional circles and maintained a friendship for some time before beginning to date. O’Reilly is described as a “private person,” while Goldsmith is said to prefer keeping her personal life out of the public spotlight.
O’Reilly, 62, previously worked within his family’s media business, Independent News & Media, before leading Australia’s APN News and Media as chief executive until 2000. He later transitioned into private business ventures, including founding an investment fund and acquiring a Swiss metering company.
Goldsmith, 52, daughter of the late billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, is known for her work as a screenwriter and documentary producer. She was previously married to Imran Khan, with whom she has two sons; the couple divorced in 2004.
