While appearing on local news channel Geo News’ comedy talk show Hansna Mana Hai, Furqan opened up about different phases of his acting career and a few personal experiences that shaped him along the way.
He recalled an incident from an award show, saying, “There was a time when I wasn’t getting any projects, but I was still invited to a TV award show. Out of pure ignorance, I skipped the red carpet, I didn’t know how important that part actually is for an actor.”
Furqan went on, “When I mentioned it to Osman Khalid Butt, he immediately offered to take me along to the red carpet area. But the moment we got there, all the photographers turned their cameras toward Osman. He’s obviously more famous, so they just started clicking his pictures non-stop.”
Then came the moment that really stung. “Osman tried to tell them, ‘Hey, take Furqan’s pictures too,’ but they barely took two shots of me and moved on,” he said with a laugh, though the story clearly carried a hint of the awkwardness he must’ve felt back then.
