According to Indian media reports, casting director and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra shared this revelation during a recent interview, where he spoke in detail about the film and its casting process.
Mukesh Chhabra said that when he first called Akshaye Khanna to offer him the film, the actor’s response was far from encouraging. Akshaye Khanna initially declined the offer.
He further revealed that after hearing about the role, Akshaye Khanna’s first reaction was, “Have you gone mad?” However, after sitting down with the actor and discussing the story and character in detail, Akshaye Khanna eventually agreed to do the film.
