According to market reports, the international bullion market witnessed a fall of 87 dollars per ounce, bringing the price of gold down to 5018 dollars per ounce. The global slide quickly echoed in local markets, where gold prices followed suit.

In Pakistan’s domestic market, the price of one tola of gold dropped by 8,700 rupees, settling at 524,562 rupees. This steep fall came right after Friday’s decline, when the per-tola price had already slipped by 7,100 rupees, closing at 533,262 rupees.

The price of 10 grams of gold also moved downward, decreasing by 7,459 rupees to reach 449,727 rupees. Market watchers say the ongoing correction reflects the broader cooling trend in the global bullion trade.

Silver prices did not stay untouched either. The price of one tola of silver fell by 310 rupees, bringing it down to 8,541 rupees.

Traders note that such back-to-back drops are unusual and often signal a moment of pause in the market after a long rally. For many buyers who had been waiting on the sidelines, the sudden fall feels like a small window of opportunity. Meanwhile, investors remain cautious, keeping a close eye on global signals that often set the tone for precious metal prices.

Market analysts say the coming days will reveal whether this drop is a brief pullback or the start of a broader shift in the gold market.
