In the global bullion market, gold dropped by $34 per ounce, settling at $5,110 per ounce. The dip in international prices quickly echoed in Pakistan’s local markets, where gold rates followed the downward trend.
According to market reports, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs3,400, bringing it down to Rs533,762. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold slipped by Rs2,915, reaching Rs457,614.
This decline comes just a day after another drop on Thursday, when gold had already lost Rs2,800 per tola, closing at Rs537,162. Traders say the latest fall suggests the market may be cooling off after a heated run, though uncertainty still hangs in the air.
While gold lost some shine, silver quietly stole the spotlight. The price of silver per tola climbed by Rs194, reaching Rs8,914.
Market watchers note that such mixed movements are not unusual. Precious metals often move to different rhythms, depending on investor sentiment, global demand, and currency fluctuations.
For now, gold appears to be catching its breath, while silver continues to inch upward, keeping traders and investors on their toes as the market searches for its next direction.
