According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24 karat gold per tola jumped by Rs2,000 to reach a new high of Rs472,862.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,717 to settle at Rs405,402 in the local market.

In the international bullion market, gold prices climbed by $20 to touch a historic peak of $4,505 per ounce.

Silver prices also witnessed a sharp increase, with the per tola rate rising by Rs500 to an all-time high of Rs7,705.

A day earlier, international gold prices had surged by $85 per ounce to reach $4,485, setting another record. This rise was mirrored in domestic markets, where the price of 24 karat gold per tola increased by Rs8,500 to Rs470,862, while the rate for 10 grams went up by Rs6,681 to Rs403,688.

The sharp rise in gold prices reflects sustained strength in global markets, further pushing up local rates and reinforcing gold’s status as a key asset for investors and consumers.
