According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold fell by Rs1,600 per tola, settling at Rs422,562 across the country.

In the international market, gold prices also eased, dropping by $16 to reach $4,002 per ounce.

It is worth mentioning that just a day earlier, the precious metal had seen a sharp increase of Rs5,300 per tola, reflecting the continued volatility in both domestic and global bullion markets.

The fluctuation underscores how local prices remain highly sensitive to international trends and the rupee’s performance against the US dollar, keeping investors and jewellers on alert.
