The 10 gram price also moved upward, settling at Rs. 380,454 following an increase of Rs. 1,372.
The domestic surge comes on the heels of a firm upswing in the global market, where the price of gold per ounce advanced by $16 to hit $4,214, a level analysts describe as another milestone in gold’s relentless climb.
They note that the precious metal continues to draw attention as investors look for assets that promise steadiness in an uncertain economic climate.
Silver too followed the upward trend. The price per tola of silver rose to Rs. 6,102 after a gain of Rs. 30, while 10 grams were priced at Rs. 5,231 following a rise of Rs. 26. In the international market, silver climbed to $58.30 per ounce, reinforcing the broader sentiment pushing precious metals higher.
Market observers say the latest jump in prices reflects a blend of stronger international demand, pressure on local supplies, and a growing tendency among investors to shift their savings toward safer commodities.
According to analysts, the current pattern shows that gold and silver remain the preferred destination whenever economic signals appear uncertain, allowing these metals to maintain their upward pace.
